Do you think this would work as a skinny belt if you did it longer and with maybe 2-4 more rows? I may try it that way, once I've got my WIPs whittled down a bit!

Yeah, it totally would. That is a great idea, I think it would be really cute. I may have to try that as well, I love belts!
I just ordered some cotton sock yarn with elastic so these would be stretchy and stay on my dd's head...I'll let you know how they work out!
Thanks for the pattern! I just made one up and it turned out great! It's so simple and I never would have thought to make it this way!
